planning learning spaces

date. various

city. Plymouth

Having been involved in a number of new build projects through my career I have developed a fascination with and deeper understanding of learning spaces. This has included working with architects around the design and furnishing of RIBA award winning Plymouth School of Creative Arts. I have also learned much about how to inhabit spaces and develop new pedagogy. Presenting workshops in Denmark, Germany to the DfE and for the Association for Learning Environments is something I love. I contributed to the book Planning Learning Spaces by Murray Hudson and Terry White (2019) looking at how space can provoke learning. My article published in International School Leader magazine (June 2020) is about redesigning spaces to develop a ‘2 metre school’.
